Ronald J. Storti, 59, of Gwinn, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, September 2, 2011at his home. Ron was born on November 25, 1951 in Gwinn to the late Peter and Rose (Armatti) Storti and was a lifelong area resident. A 1970 graduate of Gwinn High School, Ron was an all U.P. defensive back for the Gwinn Modeltowners football team. He worked in the family business, Rosie's Pizzeria in Gwinn for many years. In his free time Ron enjoyed visiting with all of his friends at coffee club every day. Survivors include five siblings, Nancy Zacher of Tampa Bay, FL, Michael (Sharon) Storti of Tucson, AZ, Peter W. (Susan) Storti of Kalamazoo, MI, James (Nancy) Storti of Iron River, MI and Bonnie Storti of Gwinn; also several nieces and nephews, great and great, great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home on Thursday at 12 Noon with Jim Storti officiating. Burial will follow in the Gwinn Cemetery.
