Reginald S. Rousseau, 73, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI died peacefully Sunday morning, March 5, 2017 at his daughter's home in Marquette. He was born December 15, 1943 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, a son of the late George and Laura Rousseau and was a lifelong area resident. On December 12, 1965 he married Lynne Kobes in Brimley, Michigan and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2015. Reginald was a member of the Algonquin United Methodist Church. He will be fondly remembered by his family & friends for his enjoyment in feeding strays on Chestnut Street, where neighbors were like family: his cat; watching birds and keeping an eye out for squirrels; story-telling; and the unconditional love he gave. He also enjoyed fishing & hunting in his younger years, scratch off tickets, playing cribbage, rooting for the Detroit sports teams and time spent with family and friends. He is survived by a daughter, Michele (Steven) Greiner of Marquette; grandchildren, Randy Greiner of Marquette and Nicole Greiner of Jacksonville, AR; a great-grandchild, Aliyah; brothers, George (Linda) Rousseau of Belding, MI and Edward (Grace) Rousseau of Sault Ste. Marie; sister-in-law, Shirley Hanek of WI; brother-in-law, Terry (Gloria) Kobes of WI; and many beloved nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lynne; daughter, Kelly Rousseau; sister, Joyce Gomas; mother & father-in-law, Thomas and Orpha Kobes; brother's-in-law, Jim Hanek and Tony Gomas; nephew, Tony Russ Gomas; and a niece, Traci Kobes. A private graveside service will be held in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Canale-Tonella Funeral Home in Marquette is assisting the family where memories may be shared at
