Patricia Lynn Wilson, 65, Negaunee, entered eternal life on Sunday, May 28, 2017, surrounded by her family after one day in U.P. Health System- Marquette following a brief illness. Pat was born on August 30, 1951 in Flint, MI to the late James C. and Marilyn E. (Reed) Jones. She graduated from Flushing High School. After graduation she moved to the Upper Peninsula, finally settling at her dream farm where she was surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, chickens and any animal that needed her love. Pat loved horseback riding or brushing and caring for them. She also enjoyed camping, traveling with her husband Bob, antiques, spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. Always ready for any adventure. Pat worked at the Marquette Veterinary Clinic in Harvey. She had many house and office cleaning jobs over the years. She also worked at Shopko and did merchandising for Acosta and Revlon. Pat semi-retired to enjoy time on her farm and spend time with her family. Pat was recognized by the Joslin Diabetes Center for 50 plus years of courageous living with Type I Diabetes. She was also a member of both Grace Lutheran Church of Gwinn and Community Covenant Church of Skandia, where she was close to Pastor Todd Spranger and his wife Kim. Her final act of kindness was to make sure her diabetes would aid in research for others and help future generations. Pat is survived by four children, Brett (Tammy) Lewis of Gladstone, Karri (Marcus) Falkenberg of Menasha, WI, Robert Wilson, Jr. of Gwinn and Dane Wilson of Fort Knox, KY; two grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Marohnic of Gladstone and Courtney (Jordan) Isetts of Escanaba; four great grandchildren, Adelyn and Aiden Marohnic and Annabel and Emma Isetts; and her brother, Richard (Freda) Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Wilson, Sr. on April 25, 2017; and her infant son, Scott Lewis on January 6, 1972. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the Canale Gwinn Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Spranger officiating. Pat’s family will greet relatives and friends in the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Refreshments will be served following the service. Pat’s family would like to thank Deanie and Keith Lemoine, Gerald Iery and Charlene Kangas for their support through this difficult time. “God forbid that I should go to any Heaven where there are no horses”—Author Unknown The Canale Gwinn Funeral Home is assisting the family where memories may be shared at canalefuneral.com
