Norma Mincheff, 91, of Marquette, passed away Monday morning, April 17, 2017 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming. Norma was born on February 21, 1926 in Stambaugh, Michigan, a daughter of Albert and Caroline (Peterson) Stromberg. She graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1944 and was married on July 22nd that same year to John Mincheff at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian. Norma spent a lifetime being a homemaker and took great joy in raising her three children. In her free time, she was an avid reader and was a longtime member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Survivors include three children, Dennis (Laura) Mincheff of Sherwood, WI, Susan (Edward) Bertot of Glen Burnie, MD and Jeffery (Debbie) Mincheff of Marquette; five grandchildren, David and Daniel Mincheff, Jamie Verduin, Megan and Hannah Mincheff; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Bran Mincheff; also many nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Mincheff on July 9, 2011; also siblings, Vernon, Harold, Louise, June, and Mildred. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Stambaugh Cemetery.
