Jack Gemler Christenson, 70, of Marquette, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans. He was born on June 7, 1946 in Erie, PA. He graduated from High School. Jack entered the Army in 1964, from Los Angeles, CA, during the Vietnam War and was discharged in 1968. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and the Vietnamese Service Medal with two stars. Jack was admitted to D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans on May 29, 2014. He considered Jacobetti as his home and had made several friends while residing there. He got along well with the other residents and staff. He also loved music and took great pride in knowing the words and singing the songs for the staff. Jack took pride in the fact that he initiated AA meetings at the facility.
