Henrietta M. “Hank” Englund, 81, of Marquette, died early Tuesday morning, June 27, 2017 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she had been a patient a short while. She was under the thoughtful care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice. Hank was born on June 18, 1936 in Marquette, a daughter of the late Alvin and Armine (Connors) Parent and was a lifelong Marquette County resident. She attended the local Catholic Schools system and was a 1954 graduate of Graveraet High School. Hank was formerly employed at Munising Wood Products, was an operator for the Bell Telephone Company and also worked at the First National Bank in Harvey as a teller for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Louis the King Catholic Church. In her free time, Hank enjoyed camping, fishing, bird watching, playing cards, going to the casino, and watching her favorite sports teams on television. Hank’s most favorite saying was: “this too shall pass.” Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert Englund whom she married on July 7, 1956 at St. Louis the King Catholic Church; one daughter Kirsten (Brent) Blackstock of Deerton; one brother, John “Jack” (Margaret) Parent of Marquette; two sisters, Patricia “Pat” (the late Paul) Johnson of Skandia and Joan (Robert) Schmeltzer of Marquette; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at St. Louis the King Catholic Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Glenn Theoret and the Rev. Augustine Essel concelebrating and Deacon Scott Jamieson assisting. A luncheon will take place immediately following the Mass in Father Gauthier Hall. Burial will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Louis the King Women’s Club, 248 Silver Creek Road, Marquette, MI 49855 in Mrs. Englund’s memory. The Canale-Tonella Funeral Home is assisting the family where memories may be shared at
