Cheryl Bressette, 61, of Ishpeming, died Friday afternoon, September 9, 2016 at her home in the presence of her loving family and under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice. Cheryl was born on February 1, 1955 in Marquette, a daughter of Clifford and Seraphine (Papin) Bressette and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a 1973 graduate of Marquette Senior High School and had attended NMU. She also proudly served her country with the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. Cheryl was formerly employed at Ojibwa Casino and in her free time, enjoyed softball, fishing, participating in the women's pool league, playing Bingo, and going to the casino. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and a member of the KBIC. Cheryl is survived by her life partner, Rosemarie "Sunny" Sundberg of Ishpeming, a daughter, Toni (Justin Orlich) Bressette of Ishpeming; one grandson, Braydon Orlich and an expected granddaughter who will be named, Alora Orlich; sisters, Carol (Ken) Peterson of Escanaba, Paulette Beauchamp (Bob Koski, Jr.), Sandra Carlson, Kathy Peterson and Linda Bressette, all of Marquette; brothers, Keith Bressette, Glen (Joanne) Bressette and Michael (Carol) Bressette, all of Marquette; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Geraldine Bess and Gloria Finnerty; also brothers, Wayne, Donald and Allen Bressette. Cheryl's family will greet relatives and friends at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Marquette on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in the church with the Rev. Greg Heikkala officiating. A luncheon will take place in the parish hall immediately following the Mass. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 380. The Canale-Tonella Funeral Home is assisting the Bressette family where memories may be shared at
